Join us this week as National Indigenous History Month begins: a time to learn about and celebrate the beauty and brilliance of First Nations, Inuit and Métis People. We’ll explore the life of some well-known Indigenous people, and create a comic strip, start a graphic novel or write a poem about our own dreams and goals or a slice of our life/family story, Manga style or otherwise!”
Time: 4:30 to 6:30 pm
Location: Youth House, 275 Bradley Ave. (backyard, weather permitting)
Wasa-Nabin Wednesdays is a hands-on cultural program for Indigenous youth 13-18 to gain experience with Indigenous arts, crafts, tools and activities. Facilitators will be brought in to guide programming and teach about cultures from across Turtle Island.
We hope you can join us! Please RSVP to help us plan by filling out this form: https://forms.office.com/r/rT2AR811jV
Wabano programs are for First Nation, Inuit and Métis community members only. If a program is open to the general public, it will be specified. With open programs that have limited space, priority will be first given to Indigenous registrants.
