Tobacco as Sacred Medicine

This culturally based “quit smoking” support program is rooted in Indigenous culture and includes monthly information booths, one-on-one counselling, elder support, cultural teachings, physical activities, crafts, and more. Like all Wabano programs, it is offered to Indigenous people living in the Ottawa area.

Nicotine Replacement Therapy

The Wabano Health Clinic is now offering Nicotine Replacement Therapy which includes nicotine patches, gum, inhales and spray as a treatment to help people quit smoking. This program is available to Indigenous community members who are registered at the clinic.
