Tobacco as Sacred Medicine
This culturally based “quit smoking” support program is rooted in Indigenous culture and includes free of charge Nicotine Replacement Therapy (patch, gum, inhaler, lozenge), as well as access to 1-1 appointments with Addictions Counsellor or Registered Nurse.
Wabano to provide biweekly on-site smoking cessation support groups starting May 2022.
Nicotine Replacement Therapy
The Wabano Health Clinic is now offering Nicotine Replacement Therapy which includes nicotine patches, gum, inhales and spray as a treatment to help people quit smoking. This program is available to Indigenous community members who are registered at the clinic.
