While mask mandates have been dropped in most settings across Ontario, the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care recommends that healthcare workers and healthcare entities continue with measures that limit transmission of the Covid-19 virus, especially given the new and slightly more dangerous sub-variant.
It’s under this recommendation that Wabano will continue to require masks be worn while in the Centre by staff, community members, patients, clients, and all guests who enter the building. As an Indigenous health care center, our priority is to the health, wellbeing, and safety of the community that we serve, and we feel that this is the best decision at this time.
Wabano’s doors are always open and we are always here for you. We can’t wait to resume more in-person programing soon!
Miigwetch, Marsee, Qujannamiik, Thank you
