Indigenous Cultural Safety is anti-racism training from an Indigenous perspective. If you are a service provider working with Indigenous people and are funded through Ontario Health, Wabano’s training options are here to support you in your journey as a helper. This training is a first step in a life-long journey of learning.
Indigenous Cultural Safety Courses
Wabano-win: The Art of Seeing Clearly is a learning journey with courses that teach participants to better understand two core things:
How to contribute to improving Indigenous health, and
How to create safe spaces for Indigenous people in their practice.

Quarterly webinars with guest experts that expand on cultural safety and anti-racism topics. Guests include Elders, traditional knowledge keepers, and health experts and practitioners. The webinars compliments Wabano-win in-person training.
Webinars are typically usually 1-2 hours in length.

Wabano doesn’t offer it’s own online training.
We do recommend exploring the IPHCC’s training course, entitled Foundations of Indigenous Cultural Safety. It’s the first course in their training program, Anishinaabe Mino’ayaawin – People in Good Health.
There is a registration fee of $175.00 per user for each course within the Anishinaabe Mino’ayaawin ICS Training.
