Wabano Igniting the Spirit Gala 2023
Our Stories come from the Stones
Date: Thursday, June 22, 2023
Time: 5:00 to 9:30pm
Location: Ottawa Conference and Event Centre, 200 Coventry Road
Thank you to our platinum sponsor:
Wabano’s Igniting the Spirit Gala has become one of Ottawa’s most significant and sought-after social events of the year, bringing people together to celebrate National Indigenous People’s Day as we raise funds for Wabano’s essential services.
This high-profile event attracts over 500 corporate and community leaders who are committed to reconciliation with Indigenous people. Wabano’s last gala featured more than 150 silent auction items and raised $200,000!
This year’s gala theme is Our Stories come from the Stones. The Canadian Shield, and the precious metals that vein it, make Canada unique. Indigenous communities view this bedrock as our relatives. Respecting and greeting the stones as grandmothers and grandfathers, the stories they tell inform our very identity. Come and “rock” with us, in support of this important Indigenous charity.
To keep guests safe and healthy, there will be fewer seats available this year, so be sure to confirm your spot early.
A big chi-miigwetch to all our sponsors this year!
