We will read or watch “Spirit Bear and Children Make History”.
We will create and decorate paper bears that the youth can place in their windows.
We will also discuss the significance of Bear Witness Day.

Tuesday, May 14, 2024 – Talking Sticks
The importance of talking sticks in Indigenous cultures will be discussed.
We will gather our own sticks and then decorate them.

Tuesday, May 21, 2024 – Dream Catchers
We will learn about the Dream Catcher in Indigenous cultures.
We will make our own Dream Catchers. Younger participants will have the option to draw a Dream Catcher

Tuesday, May 28, 2024 – Topic and information on the above date
National Indigenous Month
The origins and significance of National Indigenous Month will be discussed.
