About the Presenters:
· Dr. Eva Jewell: (Anishinaabekwe from Deshkan Ziibiing Chippewas of the Thames First Nation) is an assistant Professor of Sociology at Toronto Metropolitan University, Dr. Jewell’s research areas include urban Indigenous perspectives on gender, work and care; and accountability in reconciliation.
· Dr. Ian Mosby: is a Professor in the Department of History at the Toronto Metropolitan University, he is a historian of food, indigenous health and the politics of settler colonialism and has published widely on a range of topics including but not limited to the long-term health impacts of hunger and malnutrition in residential schools.
