This family event is for members of the community with proof of Indigenous ancestry or kinship connection. Wabano is excited to invite the community to join us for an unforgettable day of Indigenous cultural education and on-the-land learning as we explore the Discovery Trail in Gatineau Park on Saturday May 10, 2025. This exciting outing is a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with nature, discover local wildlife, and learn about the land’s cultural significance. We will explore the beauty of Gatineau Park with a guided nature walk focused on spring ephemeral wildflowers. This on-the-land experience offers a chance to connect with nature, learn about local flora, and enjoy the fresh spring air. We will also encounter birds on their spring migration so bring your cameras and binoculars if you have them. This event is for members of the community with proof of Indigenous ancestry or kinship connection. This cultural land-based programming event is held in partnership with Wabano’s Early Years Program.
