Join Wabano’s Culture Department for a family-friendly day on the land as we explore the forests and rolling hills of beautiful Gatineau Park. Together, we’ll hike through diverse habitats, observe wildlife, discover native plants, and experience the beauty of late summer while spending time outdoors as a community.
This guided outing offers an opportunity to slow down, connect with the natural world, and learn through observation and shared experiences on the land. Whether we’re watching birds, identifying plants, or simply enjoying the forest, the journey itself is the destination. A bagged lunch will be provided, and binoculars will be available for participants who wish to take a closer look at birds and other wildlife.
Participants should be prepared for a full day outdoors, including hiking over uneven forest terrain. Please dress for the weather and wear sturdy walking shoes or hiking boots. The pace of the hike will be family-friendly, with opportunities to stop, rest, and appreciate the landscape along the way.
