Join us for a day of ceremony, teachings, and community as we gather to honour the seeds and the cycles of life. This year, we are privileged to be guided by Knowledge Keeper Kevin Deer (Kanahsohon Deer), who will share the traditions and teachings of a Mohawk Seed Ceremony.

In the Mohawk tradition, a Seed Ceremony is a time to give thanks for the seeds that sustain us and to acknowledge our deep relationship with the natural world. It is a ceremony of renewal and intention, where we prepare the seeds for planting both literally and symbolically, offering gratitude for the gifts of Creation and reflecting on what we wish to nurture and grow in our own lives.

Through songs, words, and the passing of seeds, we come together to recognize our responsibilities to the land, to one another, and to future generations. All are invited to be part of this meaningful gathering.
