Join us for a family-friendly day of Bmaadahewin (skating) at the beautiful Patinage en Forêt forest skating trails in the Gatineau Hills. This cultural land-based programming event invites families to connect with the winter season, enjoy fun physical activity, and spend time together on the land. Glide through a peaceful forest on maintained ice trails, suitable for skaters of various experience levels. This is an opportunity to enjoy the crisp winter air, the quiet of the snow-covered woods, and the joy of community.

📅 Date: Tuesday, January 27, 2026
⏰ Time: 10:00 AM – 3:30 PM
📍 Transportation: Vans will depart from the Wabano Centre (299 Montreal Rd.) at 9:30 AM. Please arrive after 9:00 AM. Vans will return to Wabano by 4:00 PM.
🍽️ Lunch: A bagged lunch and snacks will be provided.
⛸️ Gear: Bring your own skates and helmet if you have them. A limited number of rental skates and helmets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

- This event is for Indigenous community members and their families. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Please dress warmly for a full day outdoors in winter conditions.
