Join Wabano Centre for Aboriginal Health for a very special evening with renowned Cree Elder, educator, and star knowledge keeper Wilfred Buck.
During this inspiring evening gathering, Wilfred will share stories and teachings about the cultural and spiritual significance of the constellations, Indigenous understandings of the cosmos, and the transformative role that ceremony and star knowledge have played throughout his life.
As featured in the National Film Board documentary Wilfred Buck, Wilfred’s personal journey is one of resilience, healing, and reclamation. After his community in Northern Manitoba was forcibly relocated and his family lost everything, he found a path forward through ceremony, teachings, and reconnecting with Indigenous knowledge systems. His work has since impacted countless people across Turtle Island and beyond.
Known for his warmth, humour, and authenticity, Wilfred creates spaces that are both educational and deeply moving. This is a rare opportunity to hear directly from one of the most respected voices in Indigenous astronomy and oral tradition.
Tickets are $50 per person to include appetizers and refreshments.
