Bear Feast & Bundle Teachings

Wabano invites Indigenous community members to join us for a sacred ceremony led by community knowledge keepers Perry and Laurie McLeod-Shabogesic from Nipissing First Nation. They will be sharing their wisdom on the Bear Feast and Bundle Teachings, an important tradition held before the bears emerge from hibernation.

During this ceremony, we offer prayers and gratitude to the bears for their role in protecting medicinal plants and maintaining balance in the natural world. If you are unfamiliar with this practice, Perry and Laurie welcome all questions and are happy to share their knowledge.

Come sit with us in ceremony, connect with community, and honor the spirit of the bear. All my relations.
