Healing Grief Through Art – Group 2: Friday March 06 & Saturday March 07 (10:00am -4:30pm)

Linda Manitowabi is Anishnaabe-Kwe from Wiikwemkoong Unceded Territory. She is a retired Elementary School Teacher and has studied art therapy at the University of Western Ontario. For many years she has been learning the traditional teachings and ceremonies of the Ojibwe Midewiwin Society. Linda combines her art therapy background with these traditional teachings to connect with Indigenous people on their healing journey. Local grandmothers will also be present to offer support. We kindly ask that you arrive 30 minutes before the start time to prepare for ceremony.

Grandmother Linda Manitowabi is offering two groups that are 2 full days each. Please register for the groups you can attend. Those who were previously registered before rescheduling this event will be prioritized.

A brief intake will be conducted once we receive your registration.

Bring one special object from home that symbolizes your grief journey.

Light lunch and refreshments will be provided.

These workshops are for Indigenous (First Nation, Metis and Inuit) community members 18 years old and older.

To register please contact Honarine Scott: hscott@wabano.com
