Rick (Patrick) Lightning is a Mosom/Elder from Maskwacis, raised in Plains Cree (Nehiyaw) traditions and a third-generation residential school survivor. He is a certified mental health therapist and founder of Lightning Camp and Associates, with extensive experience in cultural advising, community wellness, and Indigenous policy. He currently serves as the resident Mosom for the Faculty of Medicine and Dentistry at the University of Alberta

This workshop explores what young people are seeing and hearing today, including the presence of suicide spirit. Participants will learn how this connects to our traditional ways, our helpers, and our ancestors, and how strengthening these connections can restore balance in our lives.
