Join Us for an Exciting Indigenous Drum Crafting Workshop!

Calling all Indigenous youth to a fun-filled and educational event where we dive into the rich traditions of Indigenous drum-making. Discover the history and cultural significance of traditional Indigenous drums, and then roll up your sleeves for an exciting hands-on crafting session.

Event Highlights:

Introduction to Indigenous Drums: Learn about the different types of traditional Indigenous drums, their uses in ceremonies and celebrations, and the stories they tell.

– Crafting Your Own Miniature Drum: Get creative and make your very own miniature drum! We’ll provide all the materials and guide you through each step, from stretching the drumhead to painting and decorating your unique design.

– Interactive Demonstrations: Watch skilled artisans demonstrate the traditional drum-making process and share their personal experiences and tips.

– Cultural Storytelling: Enjoy captivating stories and teachings about the significance of drums in Indigenous culture and how they connect us to our ancestors and the natural world.

– Music and Fun: Try your hand at playing your newly crafted drum in a group drumming session, where we’ll make beautiful music together and celebrate our cultural heritage.

This event is open to all Indigenous youth eager to learn, create, and connect with their cultural roots. No prior experience needed—just bring your enthusiasm and creativity!
