Join Wabano and Della Adams of HEAL Lodge, Akwesasne, for a cultural land-based medicine walk for the Indigenous community.

The day will begin at Wabano with a classroom teaching component from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., where Della will share teachings and protocols before we head out on the land. Lunch will be served at Wabano from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Following lunch, we will travel to a forest/riverside location for an on-the-land medicine walk from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m.

This program will offer community members an opportunity to learn about medicines, protocols, and our responsibilities when being on the land. Participants are encouraged to dress for the weather and wear comfortable footwear.

This community event is open to Indigenous community members.
