The Wabano Centre is excited to host a weekend overnight cultural camp for girls aged 13 to 16 years old. This unique camp will take place at Camp Capital campground in Dunrobin, Ontario (just 45 minutes from Ottawa), where participants will stay in comfortable, rented cabins.

Throughout the weekend, youth will engage in hands-on cultural activities led by esteemed traditional knowledge keeper and educator, Perry McLeod-Shabogesic, along with his partner facilitator. The camp will provide a safe and supportive environment for youth to learn about Indigenous culture, traditions, and teachings, all while fostering personal growth and community connection.

This experience will offer opportunities for creativity, reflection, and cultural immersion, making it an unforgettable way to connect with heritage and nature. Space is limited, so don’t miss out on this enriching weekend experience!

We will be holding a mandatory information session for parents and youth on February 18, 2025 from 5-7pm. All youth and parents must attend this information session to be brief about the Winter Youth Healing Camps. Parents will also be asked to sign consent, liability waiver forms at this time.
