Manager of Health Services (Contract – Replacement)

Salary Range: $105,000 to $110,000
The Opportunity
Are you a collaborative leader who is passionate about Indigenous health and community-led care? We are looking for an experienced Manager of Health Services to join our leadership team at Wabano for a contract replacement term.
In this role, you will not just be managing a department; you will be a key part of our mission to provide culturally safe, integrated, and client-centered care. Reporting directly to the CEO, you will guide our diverse health services—including primary care and community programs—ensuring our teams have the support they need to provide the best possible care for our community. A big part of your journey here will be helping us grow our inter-professional primary care team, making sure our services feel seamless and deeply connected to the people we serve.
We are looking for someone who can offer a steady hand to stabilize operations while keeping our momentum going on important growth and system integration projects.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Lead with Heart: Provide strategic and operational oversight for our Health Services programs, ensuring they align with our community’s needs.
- Grow the Team: Lead the expansion of our primary care team, fostering a culture of collaboration and inter-professional support.
- Ensure Quality: Keep our services running smoothly and at a high standard, making sure different programs work together effectively.
- Support Our Staff: Work closely with multidisciplinary staff and other Directors to ensure we are delivering coordinated, holistic care.
- Build Connections: Strengthen our ties with community partners and health system allies to improve access and equity for our clients.
What You Bring to the Circle
Education & Experience
- A Master’s degree in Health Administration, Public Health, Nursing, or a related field
- Registration with a relevant regulatory body.
- 3–6 years of leadership experience in community health or primary care.
- A proven track record of supervising multidisciplinary teams.
- Experience supporting team-based care models is a huge plus!
Knowledge & Skills
- A deep, genuine understanding of health equity, Indigenous health, and what it means to provide culturally safe care.
- The ability to lead effectively during times of growth and change.
- Strong skills in financial management and program operations.
- A natural ability to build relationships and communicate clearly with a variety of people.
